HISTORY

1974: The “Fabbrica Accessori Per Infissi Metallici” is established and the FAPIM acronym immediately becomes the official trademark.

1980: The first part of the current head office, covering a surface of 2.000 sq. m, is built in Altopascio.

1990: Foreign markets become more and more important and the second enlargement is achieved (after the one made in 1986)

1992: Fapim France, the first branch intended to provide direct service to customers, is established in Ablis, close to Paris. In 1996 Fapim Benelux and Fapim Hispania are also established.

1993: The Euroinvest Group is created for controlling Fapim and its foreign branches.

1997: The new offices, seat of the company management, are built. The distinctive front of the building, soon becomes the hallmark of the company all over the world.

1998: Beginning of Domatic production. The factory produces complementary fittings to Fapim’s products.

2000: After ten years strongly turned to foreign markets, exports exceed 80% of the total turnover and Fapim Polska is established.
The SAP operating system is introduced in a few months to run all business activities.

2002: Fapim fully automated warehouse is achieved: it is 18 meters high with a store capacity of 6.000 pallets.

2005: The second production plant in Spianate becomes operative, thus doubling the production facilities.

2006: Fapim opens towards emerging markets with its branches Fapim Middle East, in 2006, and Fapim Russia, in 2007.

2012: Fapim Argentina, point of reference for Latin America, is built.

2014: 40 years, 12 branches and sales offices, 2 production plants, 100.000 sq. m, 500 employees, 90% of goods exported to over 100 countries, 18.000 items 100% made in Italy.
