Fapim has announced significant new additions to its parallel sliding door and window range. The tried-and-tested OLE’ systems for single-lock handles and HOCKEY for rollers are joined by the brand-new FORMULA range of multi-point locks.

FORMULA is the universal multi-point locking system compatible with all the window handles with 7 mm square pin, available in over one hundred variants to meet all market needs. The locks, 100% made in Fapim , are produced in five lengths from 280 to 1800 mm, all available with 7, 17, and 21 mm backsets, in both AISI 304 stainless steel and galvanized steel. The available locks have an 8 mm pin and 13 and 16 mm hooks, also available in versions with European cylinder.

FORMULA locks are all equipped with the special patented anti-burglary device, which, thanks to the particular shape of the pinion, prevents the release of hooks or pins when the handle is in the closed position.

Available options include an anti-mishandling kit that prevents the lock from being operated incorrectly when the door is open, thus preventing damage to the mechanism. Its AISI 303 stainless steel pin is available in various lengths, and the rubber end is supplied in three sizes with five possible applications for greater versatility. Numerous polyamide adapters are available to ensure the lock can be installed on commercially available profiles. The adapters are also supplied in kits with the 8mm pin version.

Extensions are available to add locking points to the frame or lower the position of the operating handle on the window. The two models are available with one or two locking points, in stainless steel or galvanized steel, with a pin or hooks. An additional and valuable accessory is the alignment square, ideal for directly attaching the window handle to the mechanism to prevent incorrect positioning and ensure stable fixing without the need for additional spacers. The snap-on fixing can be adjusted to four different positions.

Finally, the nylon positioning template allows you to correctly place all types of keepers according to the position of the lock’s locking points. The complexity of the system and its numerous variables are easily managed thanks to the dedicated Fapim compiler , available in six languages on the online catalogue.

Compatible with all the window handles with 7 mm square pin, FORMULA is the ideal solution for pairing with the NUX minimalist window handle and the EOS window handle, both also available in offset and double versions. However, FORMULA is particularly well-suited to the TWENTY range. The Twenty range is extensive and includes fixed and adjustable window handles with straight and offset handles, the latter designed to allow for an easy grip even in particularly tight spaces between the sash and the frame. The Twenty handle rotates only 20°, while the internal square pin of the mechanism performs the classic 90° rotation, making the grip ergonomic for safe and effective door movement.
