We firmly believe that every company has the responsibility to contribute to environmental protection and we are committed daily to reducing our impact, adopting practices oriented towards efficiency and innovation.
A significant milestone in this journey was the adoption of the ISO 14001 certification, which certifies the compliance of our environmental management system with the highest international standards.
This recognition does not represent a point of arrival, but a constant commitment to continuous improvement, aimed at optimizing production processes, reducing waste and promoting responsible use of natural resources. The post-audit report highlighted our transparent and competent approach, confirming the solidity of our work.
Attention to the environment translates into concrete actions aimed at ensuring rational and efficient use of resources, with a particular focus on reducing energy consumption and containing waste throughout the entire production cycle. With this in mind, we have implemented an energy supply system from renewable sources and are pursuing the goal of increasing the use of recycled materials in production processes. Furthermore, we are starting a life cycle analysis (LCA) on specific products, a preparatory initiative for obtaining the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which will allow us to evaluate the environmental impact of our activities in an even more in-depth manner and identify further margins for improvement.
In parallel, we have embarked on the path to produce our first Sustainability Report, an essential tool to measure, communicate and transparently report our environmental, social and economic progress. In this context, we will calculate the Carbon Footprint, strengthening our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, a strategic step to understand and monitor the impact of our activities in terms of emissions and identify actions aimed at reducing them.
This commitment is already being implemented today through constant monitoring of energy consumption and the adoption of highly energy-efficient technologies.
The commitment to sustainability also extends along the entire value chain. Not only do we encourage our suppliers to adopt more responsible practices, but we also evaluate them based on environmental criteria, integrating sustainability into the selection and procurement processes. We are aware that the transition to an increasingly sustainable production model cannot be limited to the adoption of procedures, but must be a shared value pursued in every corporate area. For this reason, we promote a widespread environmental culture, actively involving collaborators, partners and stakeholders in a path of growth and awareness.
