Clean Hand

CLEAN HAND is Fapim’s new antibacterial surface finish. All accessories that come into repeated contact with hands are treated with CLEAN HAND, a real barrier against the proliferation of microorganisms.

Bacteria are present everywhere and are a critical issue for public or sanitary facilities against which even thorough cleaning is not effective over time. The solution is our antibacterial paint. CLEAN HAND uses a patented technology that offers coatings superior resistance to the growth of microorganisms through the emission of silver ions.

Laboratory tests have shown that the antibacterial activity of CLEAN HAND stabilises over 24 hours, achieving a 99-100% reduction in microorganisms.

Tests performed in various European laboratories, in accordance with ISO 22196 and JIS Z 2801, have confirmed that CLEAN HAND is effective against the main bacteria, germs, moulds and fungi that contaminate surfaces:

  • -Staphylococcus aureus
  • -Escherichia coli
  • -Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • -Enterococcus hirae
  • -(gram+ and gram- bacteria, moulds and fungi)

The CLEAN HAND surface coating is resistant to microorganisms 24 hours a day. According to laboratory tests, one year after application the paint retains the same initial antibacterial properties despite cleaning, interfering substances and scratches on the surface. The active ingredient in CLEAN HAND has a constant effectiveness over time and over 25 years. CLEAN HAND maintains a safer environment from microorganisms without sacrificing the colouring and the quality of durability and corrosion resistance of all Fapim products.

Fapim applies the Clean Hand coating to all items that involve hand contact and operation, such as cremone bolts, window handles, door handles, flat handles, latches, door bolts, panic devices, outside access drives for panic bolts, handles and window handles for sliding systems.
