The EN 1125:2008 European standard specifies the requirements for the manufacture, operation and testing of the panic exit devices manually operated through a horizontal push bar.

Oltre BAR version (type A), PUSH version (type B) and Glass anti-panic (type A)
The Construction Products Regulation – CPR 305/2011 – imposes specific regulatory obligations on all European manufacturers of emergency exit devices: for example, it establishes that such devices must be sold in the countries of the European Community only if they comply with the requirements expressed in the EN 1125:2008 standard. Compliance with these requirements is certified by the CE marking of the product, which has been mandatory for all panic exit devices since 1 April 2003. The CE marking is issued to Fapim by the notified body CSI SpA (body identification number: 0497). Fapim produces OLTRE panic exit devices in BAR version (type A) and PUSH version (type B), suitable for applications on fire and smoke resistance doors and on standard doors.

Oltre PAD and CREMONE versions (both type B)
The Construction Products Regulation – CPR 305/2011 – imposes specific regulatory obligations to all European manufacturers of emergency exit devices: for example, it establishes that such devices must be sold in the countries of the European Community only if they comply with the requirements expressed in the EN 179:2008 standard. Compliance with these requirements is certified by the CE marking of the product, which has been mandatory for all emergency devices since 1 April 2003. The CE marking is issued to Fapim by the notified body CSI SpA (body identification number: 0497). Fapim produces emergency devices – type B – suitable for applications on fire and smoke resistance doors and standard doors.

ITB

Since the early 2000s, with the production of PANAMA BAR and PUSH panic exit devices, Fapim has certified them at the Polish institute ITB; in 2018, renewing its range with the new OLTRE BAR and OLTRE PUSH devices, Fapim has also obtained certification for these products at ITB according to the PN-EN 1125:2008 standard, the Polish version of the European standard EN 1125:2008.

CENTRE OF CERTIFICATION OF MOSCOW

We have certified our Oltre panic exit device (BAR and PUSH versions) and emergency (PAD and Cremone versions) devices in Russia, at the “Centre on certification of window and door engineering of Moscow ”. The tests, conducted according to the current standard in the country GOST P 52750 – 2007, include various static and durability tests, as well as resistance tests in a salt spray chamber. In addition to the tests carried out at its Moscow laboratories, this institute carries out periodic audits at the Fapim plant to evaluate the manufacturing and control plans and their adequacy to its requirements.

DoP

The declarations of performance can be found in our online catalogue, in the “attachments” section, referring to each item with CE marking. Each file contains the declaration of performance – for each product with CE marking – required by art. 4 of CPR 305/2011. Each document contains information written in the languages of the EU countries.

UL 305: 2012 AND CAN / ULC S132: 2016 CERTIFICATION

The American standards UL 305 and CAN/ULC S132 specify the requirements for the manufacture, operation and testing of panic exit devices operated manually by means of a horizontal push bar. Products compliant with the standards can be installed on escape route doors without fire resistance characteristics. The standards in question specify requirements that are sometimes much more stringent than the European standard EN 1125:2008 regarding the operation of the bar and its length in relation to the door.
Finally, the testing includes various operating tests under extreme conditions of force applied to the door and temperature (-20 °C and +204 °C).
